INSPECTION

The Group offers a full design and planning service supporting clients with their projects from concept stage through to the planning stage including the supply of support staff.

We offer specialist manpower to our customers to work within their project teams either on a management, supervisory or consultation level. All of our project managers and supervisors have a proven track record, enabling us to provide a first class service to all our clients. We supply specialized project consultants to a particular field, whether this be access solutions, inspection, fabric maintenance or coatings to list just a few for example.

Supply of all white collar disciplines, estimaters, planners and engineers etc.

  • The Group offers Dry Docking capabilities using heavy lift ships at our MODU Service Hubs RCC).
  • In addition to Dry Dock work our RCC’s have full shipyard capabilities and are capable of supporting any type or scale of project.

The Group supplies White and Blue collar workers covering all disciplines anywhere in the world.

Inspection

NDT

Our inspection department offers full and comprehensive NDT (Non Destructive Testing) services which is used to detect flaws in welds and steel surfaces. Included within this service is the capability to record and monitor steel thickness and hardness by the use of specialist computerized equipment.

Our inspection personnel are trained to visually detect defects in equipment, whether it be with the use of visual aids such as magnifiers, boroscopes etc. or with the extensive experience of the trained eye.

Ocean IRM carries out Special Periodic Surveys which consist of visual and NDT inspections to the critical connections on mobile drilling units and ships. This is done in accordance with certifying authorities to ensure the units structure and integrity meet the legislate requirements.

We offer specialist DROPS hazard inspections where a team of our inspectors access difficult areas which are often at height and conduct a survey to ensure there are no potential dropped objects that could fall and cause harm to personnel. A full report is then compiled including drawings and photographs complimented with a detailed inventory and hazard register. All potential dropped objects are reported and when possible, eliminated at the time of find.

HS Ocean Group integrate industrial rope access and inspection services to carry out structural surveys of drilling structures, crane booms, flair towers, masts etc. Structural surveys can consist of the integration of all inspection disciplines and on completion a report package including computer aided drawings and photographic logs will be presented to our customer detailing all inspected areas and defects.

Our team of corrosion engineers, coatings inspectors and surveyors, can provide a range of services which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Inspection & quality management services including coatings inspections/surveys, preparation of detailed coatings/corrosion inspection workpacks and third party paint inspection.
  • External corrosion management systems aligned to industry safety & integrity best practice.
  • Consultancy providing technical solutions to external coatings and corrosion problems, including external integrity audits, failure investigation and the preparation of specifications for problem areas.

Our technicians provide periodic ATEX inspections and can include the integration of industrial rope access to access difficult areas or areas at height. All of our electricians are experienced and COMPEX certified which provides our clients with the capabilities to supply EX audits and registers.

Repair & Maintenance

Ocean IRM provides multi skilled construction teams which cover all aspects of construction services and can be integrated with our access solutions to enable our personnel to get to difficult areas. Included within our construction department are capabilities to carry out derrick / mast outfitting and refurbishment and crane boom repair / replacement. Our construction solutions include the following extensive disciplines:

  • Technical Rigging & Lifting
  • Pipe Fitting
  • Steel Erecting
  • Electrical Engineering

Our fabric maintenance department specializes in all aspects of coatings removal and applications including industrial cleaning and confined space entry. We work closely with our alliances to continually develop coatings removal and applications systems with the integration of bespoke encapsulation systems to protect the environment and surrounding assets while carrying out coating repairs.

The Group supplies and applies a comprehensibve range of specialist barrier coatings including but are not limited to deck screeds, tank coatings, pipe coatings, fire protection coatings, marine hull coatings and offshore coatings. All of these coatings are available in both solvent and solvent free forms.

Full range of surface preparation from a light clean for a physical inspection to a ISO 8501-1 standard in a confined space or vacuum track blasting ready for a specialist coating. Specialist equipment is available for any task at hand and the desired surface finish is always achieved.

Access Solutions

Our access department specializes in a comprehensive range of access solutions from industrial rope access which is carried out in accordance with IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) International Code of Practice as well as traditional scaffolding methods. We work closely with our alliances to continually develop new access technologies including tensioned netting systems and temporary work platforms which can be designed for structures of any shape, size or dimension.

Fabrication and Engineering

The group offers fabrication and engineering services from each of its country locations, Our Alliance with Houston based Master Rig ensures that we can undertake very challenging engineering projects. The group has recently added to its current capabilities by acquiring 4500m² of fabrication workshops along with 1000m² of engineering workshops.
