Our inspection department offers full and comprehensive NDT (Non Destructive Testing) services which is used to detect flaws in weld and steel surfaces. Included within this service is the capability to record and monitor steel thickness and hardness by the use of specialist computerised equipment.

Our team of corrosion engineers, coatings inspectors and surveyors can provide a range of services which include, but are not limited to the following:

• Inspection and quality management services including coatings inspections/surveys/preparation of detailed coatings/corrosion inspection workpacks and third party coatings inspection
• External corrosion management systems aligned to industry safety and integrity best practice
• Consultancy providing technical solutions to external coatings and corrosion problems, including external integrity audits, failure investigation and the preparation of specifications for problem areas

Unlike other inspection providers, Wind Power IRM is not reliant on a single inspection technology, but has a broad range of experience with all testing methods and different blade design and the challenges that these present.

Wind Power IRM is leading the way in developing innovative solutions for wind turbine blade inspection, including adapting ultrasonic phased array sensors for use on curved geometries and the identification of….deep within laminate structures.

WindPower IRM offers a full gearbox inspection service using full videographic endoscopes. Our engineers can inspect both the helical and planetary sections with specific access to the bearings and gears.

Our fabric maintenance department specialises in all aspects of coatings removal and applications including industrial cleaning of blades and turbines and confined space entry. We work closely with our alliances to continually develop coatings removal and applications systems the help protect the environment and surrounding assets while carrying out repairs.

WindPower IRM can quickly provide multi-skilled to cover various aspects of construction services and can be integrated with our access solutions to allow our personnel to reach difficult areas. Our construction solutions include the following disciplines:
